With the BAFTAs and the Oscars, February is a big month for film buffs. We can organise tickets to both award ceremonies and exclusive viewing parties. To win an Oscar is the ultimate accolade for anyone working in the film industry, and here in the UK the BAFTAs have an equally high standing. There's nothing to match the glamour of these ceremonies, in any industry.

In the months leading up to February every year, the Oscar and BAFTA fans and actors alike wait with bated breath to find out. Who will win? When the ceremonies themselves roll round, they're as much about the dresses, the tuxedos, the shoes and the hair as they are about the happy winners.

Poised can arrange for you to attend the eight-hour Oscar ceremony itself, or one of the exclusive viewing parties, which many of the Hollywood elite, prefer as they usually comprise a lavish drinks reception, a sumptuous sit-down meal, DJ sets by some of the best talent in town and entertainment extras such as casino gaming tables – all of this while the awards are screened on giant plasma screens.

Film premieres on the other hand, spread a little of that glamour and excitement throughout the rest of the year. Like the awards ceremonies, the anticipation of a film's release is rewarded by the starry turnout to the screening.

BAFTAs: 21 February 2010- The highest-profile film awards in Britain, the Baftas will take place on 21st February 2010 at the Royal Opera House with the nominations being revealed a month earlier. The best films seen on British cinema screens in the past year will be rewarded.

Actors Alec Baldwin and Steve Martin will host the show. And let's not forget, you will need to glam up for the event so why let Poised help you find the right dress or better still the best designers. Personally the idea of having a dress or suit designed just for the event ties in nicely with the theme of the night.
